Commercial Mechanical EstimatorWe are seeking a results-oriented Commercial Mechanical Estimator with progressive estimating experience in mechanical construction. Join an area mechanical contractor with 50+ years delivering HVAC piping, Process Piping, sheet metal, and full lifecycle mechanical services for k-12 schools, universities, military buildings and more.What You Will DoPrepare Sheet Metal, Plumbing, HVAC piping, and Process Piping estimatesLead the mechanical portion of estimates and ensure that scopes are coordinated and completeSolicit subcontractors during the bidding process and organize information post-bid for future referenceReview and understand narratives, plans and specifications to ensure alignment between pricing and the scope of workCommunicate with project leads to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirementsDevelop and maintain relationships with internal clients and subcontractors/vendorsPrepare scopes of work for subcontractors and suppliers and coordinate scopes of work across disciplinesMaintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliersSupports other department personnel as requiredMaintain library of project job costs for use in future project estimatesPerform additional assignments per supervisor's directionAttend pre-bid meetings and/or tour job sites to confirm requisite take-offsWhat We Expect3–5+ years Commercial Mechanical estimating experienceProficiency reading blueprints, specifications, and mechanical details.
