Overview
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care in Skowhegan, Maine, United States. This travel assignment is a 13-week engagement starting 10/05/2026, with guaranteed 35 hours per week and a weekly pay range of $2,056 to $2,181 per week. Shift is a daytime schedule (8:00 am – 4:30 pm), 5 days per week, in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for residents and establish individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to improve independence in activities of daily living, mobility, balance, cognition, and upper-extremity function.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in a timely, compliant manner.
- Educate residents and families on therapeutic goals, home exercise programs, and adaptive equipment as appropriate.
- Ensure patient safety, patient goals alignment, and effective discharge planning within the long-term care setting.

Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in good standing, or eligibility for licensure in Maine.
- Experience in acute care or long-term care environments is preferred.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and staff.
- Availability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment and a daytime 5x8 schedule.
