Job Description As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Irvine, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal team member, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver welcoming customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time / Day Shift Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and retail customers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and security‑related hazards in accordance with site procedures. Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while maintaining a professional presence. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
