Experience: 1 Year of ED or Critical Care Nursing Experience Preferred

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED) for a 13-week night-shift contract position in Craig, Colorado. The ED RN will assess, prioritize, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients presenting with emergency and acute-care needs.

This position requires strong triage, critical-thinking, clinical judgment, patient assessment, and emergency nursing skills . The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment, transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and patient and family education.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, prioritize care needs, and develop individualized emergency nursing plans of care.

• Provide triage, treatment, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation for patients with acute and emergency conditions.

• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond rapidly using sound clinical judgment and evidence-based emergency nursing practices.

• Coordinate patient transfers, discharge planning, referrals, education, and psychosocial support with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation while following infection-control, patient-safety, confidentiality, regulatory, and professional nursing standards.

• Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) License or Valid Compact RN License Required.

• Emergency Department or Critical Care Nursing Experience Preferred; 2 Years of Hospital Nursing Experience Preferred.

• Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required or Must Be Obtained Within 90 Days of Hire; ACLS Required or Must Be Obtained Within 6 Months.

• PALS or ENPC, TNCC, STABLE, and NRP Certifications Required or Must Be Obtained Within the Specified Post-Hire Timeframes.

• Strong Triage, Critical-Thinking, Patient Assessment, Emergency Response, Communication, and Independent Nursing Skills Required.
