Plant/Site Manager

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is pleased to partner with a confidential client to identify a Plant/Site Manager for a well-established manufacturing operation in Upstate New York. This is a unique opportunity to lead and take ownership of a growing operation and an established team, while driving performance across safety, quality, productivity, maintenance and cost management. The successful candidate will be a hands‑on leader with strong business skills, a passion for developing people, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The facility operates across day and night production schedules throughout the work week, requiring a leader who is highly engaged, accessible to their team, and comfortable managing an operation that runs beyond traditional business hours. This role offers significant autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of plant operations, including safety, production, quality, maintenance, and cost performance. Provide leadership and direction to supervisors and operational teams across multiple shifts. Own full P&L responsibility for the operation, including developing and executing the annual plant budget, while driving revenue growth, cost control, and profitability. Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor key performance indicators and implement actions to achieve business objectives. Develop and mentor a high-performing leadership team while promoting employee engagement and accountability. Champion change management initiatives and support organisational growth and transformation. Serve as the primary operational leader for the site, providing support and direction during off‑hours operational issues or emergencies as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Proven track record leading multi‑shift manufacturing operations. Strong knowledge of safety systems, production management, quality processes, and continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated experience managing budgets, profit and loss, operational metrics, and overall business performance. Experience leading and developing supervisors, managers, and frontline teams. Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to operate independently, make decisions confidently, and drive results in a dynamic environment. Flexibility to support a manufacturing operation that includes occasional Saturday production and after‑hours operational needs.
