Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Hospitalist

Description As a Locum MD Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services to hospitals in Cheraw. This position is vital in ensuring continuous patient care and support during staffing shortages, emergencies, or peak demand periods. You will be involved in a variety of medical projects, collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Provide medical care to hospitalized patients under the supervision of attending physicians. Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures. Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Monitor and manage patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary. Document patient care and progress notes accurately and timely. Participate in patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment plans. Requirements Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited medical school. Valid medical license to practice as a physician. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Willingness to adapt to different hospital settings and patient populations. Availability to work on-site and flexible hours as needed.
