EHS Engineer

Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability Specialist supporting a large-scale medical manufacturing facility in Marion, North Carolina. The role involves developing and implementing EHS programs, conducting compliance activities, and partnering with operations teams to reduce workplace risks and maintain regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Support environmental, health, and safety programs across the facility
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, PPE evaluations, and safety inspections
- Identify hazards through Gemba walks and audits; drive corrective actions
- Support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and employee safety training
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to implement safety improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, RCRA, and EHS regulatory requirements
- Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety compliance
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems
- Professional EHS certifications (ASP, CSP, CHMM) preferred
Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 annually
