Paralegal

Job Position: Paralegal

Location: Sioux City, IA 51101

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr

Shift: 8:00AM-5:00PM

Description: The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage a high volume of paperwork, and experience supporting attorneys with legal research, document preparation, and case management. This position requires someone who can work independently while maintaining effective communication with attorneys and staff.

Responsibilities
Draft, prepare, and file court documents and legal pleadings.
Manage and organize case files, records, and large volumes of documentation.
Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, courts, and other parties regarding case matters and project updates.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, and trial support.
Handle assigned projects independently while working under general supervision.
Collaborate effectively with attorneys and support staff to ensure smooth case management.

Qualifications
Previous paralegal experience required.
Strong knowledge of legal procedures, court filings, and legal document preparation.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Requirements
Must pass a background check.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software preferred.
Paralegal certification is a plus but not required, depending on experience.
