Orchestrating the discovery process, including the systemic collection, categorization, and review of evidentiary documentation while strictly monitoring statutory timelines. Procuring, auditing, and transcribing medical records, itemized billing statements, and financial loss documentation to facilitate damages assessments. Compiling persuasive settlement prospectuses, comprehensive trial binders, evidentiary exhibits, and strategic hearing materials. Maintaining direct, professional communication channels with high-profile clients, expert witnesses, insurance underwriters, and opposing counsel. Executing precise electronic filings across state and federal judiciaries, specifically traversing the Connecticut and New York court systems. Collaborating with trial counsel to formulate case strategies, evidentiary organization schemes, and comprehensive courtroom preparations. Providing ancillary transactional support for residential real estate matters, including the review of purchase and sale agreements and coordination of title abstracts. Qualifications Minimum of five years of substantive litigation paralegal experience within a reputable law firm setting. Formal paralegal certification, an associate degree, or a baccalaureate degree in paralegal studies or a closely aligned discipline. Verifiable experience reviewing, adjusting, or handling residential real estate contracts and related transactional components. Thorough operational familiarity with the procedural rules and electronic filing interfaces of both Connecticut and New York state and federal courts. Skills Proficiency in deploying advanced legal research indices, including Westlaw or LexisNexis. Mastery of enterprise‑grade document review platforms, e‑discovery software, and specialized legal case management databases.
