The nurse will work night shifts for 12 hours. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The nurse is expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:6. BLS certification is required for this position. Scrubs can be of any color and should not have logos. Charting will be done using the Epic system. The candidate must have skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and wound care. Experience with telemetry and pre/post-surgery management is also essential. The nurse will work with adult and geriatric patient populations. Interdisciplinary support will be available from various health professionals. Travelers may be expected to float to similar units as needed based on facility requirements. Additional training may be provided on-site during the orientation period.
