Job Title: X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week
Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Thursday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining procedures and positioning patients appropriately
• Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Apply radiation safety practices, including patient shielding and exposure minimization techniques
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and provide compassionate patient care
• Document patient information, imaging procedures, and exam results accurately
• Verify completed examinations and ensure image quality meets diagnostic standards
• Adhere to infection control policies, safety regulations, and departmental procedures
• Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance when necessary
• Maintain adequate inventory of radiology supplies and equipment
• Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications and licensure
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Radiologic Technologist/X-Ray Technician experience required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
• Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) required
• Current ARRT Certification required
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety standards
• Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and dependability
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple imaging modalities preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems preferred
• Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
