Job Title: X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 9 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 37.5 Hours/Week

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols

• Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures

• Explain imaging procedures and address patient questions and concerns

• Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently

• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff

• Utilize beam-restrictive devices, patient shielding, and proper exposure factors

• Evaluate radiographic images for quality and diagnostic accuracy

• Document patient care activities and completed examinations accurately

• Maintain patient and departmental records in accordance with facility standards

• Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with preventive maintenance

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed

• Monitor and maintain radiology supply inventory

• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance guidelines

• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

• Complete annual Age-Specific Competency requirements

• Support departmental goals through teamwork and collaboration

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) required

• Current ARRT Certification required

• Graduate of an AMA-Approved School of Radiologic Technology required

• 0–2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience accepted

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices

• Experience operating radiologic imaging equipment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment

• Dependable with a strong focus on patient care and quality outcomes

• English proficiency required (read, write, and speak)
