Description

• Conduct assessments of patients in either inpatient or outpatient environments and formulate personalized treatment strategies
• Deliver physical therapy interventions that enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to maximize patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic goals, home exercises, and plans for discharge
• Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient progress in compliance with facility and regulatory protocols
• Engage in care team huddles and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive and integrated patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory
