Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop coordinated care strategies.
• Provide educational support for patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy interventions, ensuring a seamless care experience throughout the recovery journey.
• Maintain up-to-date and precise documentation to comply with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Continue to evolve as a professional by staying informed on the latest advancements in the field through educational opportunities and peer networking.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
