Junior Technical Recruiter (Part-time) – San Ramon, CA Location: San Ramon, CA (Hybrid – office presence required once a month, on request) Overview: Looking for expertise in hiring candidates from a technical background, primarily hardware‑focused positions such as hardware engineer, FPGA, ASIC designer, verification jobs, or experience in semiconductor or chip‑related projects/companies. Job Responsibilities Develop search requirements and heavily work on active and passive sourcing. Perform recruiting activities including sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, and recommending qualified candidates. Review and screen resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to the position and search requirements. Source candidates and qualify them through phone screens. Utilize pre‑screening questions for phone screen purposes. Build a pipeline and sources for returning positions. Leverage network of candidates with experience in semiconductor companies. Prepare candidates for interviews – client culture, job description, competencies, and expectations. Act as a liaison by providing ongoing information and managing the candidate relationship through the complete recruiting life‑cycle. Maintain follow‑ups, track pipelines, and update database and candidate records in the hiring tools. Proficiency in using LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Sheets, and ATS. Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 1–3 years of experience as a recruiter, preferably for hardware engineer, FPGA, ASIC designer, verification roles, or semiconductor/chip‑related hiring. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Attention to detail. Proficiency with pre‑screening questions and phone screening. Only local Bay Area candidates considered. Recruiter – Oakland, CA Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid – required on‑site 1–2 days per week). Pay rate: $35,000–$50,000 per annum. Overview: Tasked with full‑cycle recruiting for various positions including union and non‑union roles. Job Responsibilities Develop search requirements and post jobs as required. Perform full‑life‑cycle recruiting including sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, and recommending qualified candidates. Assist with the selection process and negotiate employment offers. Develop job posting descriptions, including minimum and desired qualifications, and prescreening questions. Determine recruiting strategy to build a pipeline and sources for diverse internal and external talent. Review and screen resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge (phone screens as applicable). Identify opportunities to positively impact diversity hiring efforts. Prepare candidates for interviews – review culture, organization, job description, competencies, and expectations; act as a liaison throughout the recruiting life‑cycle. Consult hiring managers on candidate qualifications, work experience, degree of match vs. search requirements, and recommend candidates to interview and secure agreement on final interview slate. Guide the lines of business through a compliant recruiting and hiring process, develop and maintain working relationships with clients, and help prioritize and plan recruiting activities. Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (required). 3–5 years of experience as a full‑cycle recruiter, preferably with some IT experience. Strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of federal regulations affecting hiring practices (OFCCP, EEO, and affirmative action).
