Milber Makris Plousadis & Seiden, LLP, a multistate full-service civil litigation defense firm and business partner to the insurance industry, is seeking a highly motivated mid-level defense attorney to join the team in our busy Roseland, New Jersey office. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, dynamic firm that offers a great working environment and potential for advancement. Candidate must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey and knowledgeable of New Jersey Court Rules. New York admission is a plus but not required. We are looking for the right candidate to join our Team. Seeking attorney with the following experience: 3-6 years' insurance defense litigation experience, licensed in New Jersey and knowledgeable of New Jersey Court Rules and Procedure. Qualification Requirements: J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school Admitted to practice in New Jersey and in good standing (Admission in New York a plus) Exhibits an in-depth knowledge of New Jersey Court Rules and Procedures Demonstrated excellence in research, writing, and legal analysis Strong work ethic, ability to manage caseload and work in a team environment Highly detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing substantive motions, attending hearings and trials Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing own caseload (with oversight by partners depending on experience level) Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses Research and writing of memorandums Reporting to clients Attending hearings and court conferences Conducting and defending depositions Attending inspections Consulting with expert witnesses Attending mediations Trial preparation and trial MMP&S Benefits Include: Health Insurance, Health Savings Account, Dental options, Vision options, Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability Insurance, Short-Term Disability Options, Flexible Spending Account, 401(k) Plan, AFLAC, Pet Insurance, Continuing Legal Education #J-18808-Ljbffr Milber Makris Plousadis Seiden
