2nd Shift Machine Operator

Express Employment is Hiring Machine Operators in the Columbia Area! This full-time position offers a consistent Monday - Friday with the pay ranging $17-$19hr depending on experience. You will play a vital role in the safe operation of an industrial saw, cutting materials to precise measurements and ensuring high-quality results. Accuracy is key, as you will be working with valuable inventory that requires exceptional attention to detail. Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 1:30pm - 11:00pm Friday schedule from 1:30pm - 6:00pm Key Responsibilities: Safely operate an industrial saw to cut materials to the correct length and size. Use large-scale forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and set them on the machine. Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep the equipment and work area clean and organized. Interpret blueprints and input operation requirements to ensure accurate measurements. Regularly stand for long periods and handle physical tasks with care. Qualifications: Previous experience operating saws or similar machinery. Familiarity with large-scale forklift operation and overhead crane use. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches. Ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.
