The Sr. Director, Learning and Development - Sales is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing innovative learning and development programs that enhance the skills and performance of the sales team. This role will focus on developing strategies that drive sales excellence, improve customer engagement, and support the overall growth objectives for 6000 sellers across Honeywell. This is a corporate position that will support all Honeywell SBGs and Sellers across the globe with multiple matrix reports. It will report directly to the VP, Channel & Sales Excellence and sit in Charlotte, NC.As the Senior Director of Sales Excellence, you will provide strategic guidance and direction for sales excellence initiatives, optimize sales processes, and drive continuous improvement to achieve sales goals. Must Have:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in learning and development, with a focus on sales training. Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning tools.
- Tools: Salesforce CRM, Sales Enablement tools, and AI-driven analytic tools.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in training and development, such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) or similar, are a plus.
- Lead and drive the Sales Excellence strategy and initiatives to achieve business objectives
- Develop and implement sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance sales performance and efficiency
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and address sales process gaps and opportunities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Monitor and analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Manage and optimize sales operations, including forecasting, pipeline management, and sales analytics
- Learning Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with the sales team's goals and the company's strategic objectives.
- Program Design and Implementation: Design, develop, and implement training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules tailored to the needs of the sales team.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales performance data to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement. Use this data to inform the development of targeted learning interventions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales leaders, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure training programs are relevant and effective. Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as needed.
- Mentoring and Coaching: Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to sales team members to support their professional development and improve their performance.
- Evaluation and Reporting: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Report on the impact of learning initiatives to senior leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sales training and development. Continuously improve and innovate learning programs to meet evolving business needs.
