Staff Accountant

Location: Las Vegas, NV (Summerlin area)

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite: Tuesday–Thursday; 2 days remote: Monday/Friday)

Employment Type: 3-to-6 Month Contract (Potential for extension)

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $40.00/hour (DOE)

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant for a 3-to-6-month contract role with a growing gaming company based in Las Vegas.

In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to oversee daily transactional accounting, perform daily revenue audits, and assist with month-end close procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accountant with high Excel proficiency who wants exposure to daily revenue reconciliation and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance in a modern, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of core accounting or revenue audit experience. (Experience in casino revenue auditing, digital sweepstakes, or gaming terminology is highly desirable, though candidates with general accounting/audit backgrounds are encouraged to apply).

• Advanced Excel Skills: High proficiency required (pivot tables, complex formulas, audit functions, and managing large datasets).

• Systems Proficiency: Experience with NetSuite and FloQast (or similar ERP and close management software) is a plus.

• Availability & Commitment: Must be available for immediate onboarding and fully committed to completing a 3-to-6-month contract engagement.

• Workstyle: Self-starter with great communication skills, capable of working independently while reporting remotely to management.

Responsibilities

• Daily Revenue Audit: Access banking portals and external processing sources daily to extract transactional data; maintain and update daily Excel master models to accurately calculate Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) and Net Gaming Revenue (NGR).

• System Data Entry: Prepare and upload Excel-based daily revenue entries into NetSuite .

• Month-End Close: Assist the Finance Manager with month-end account reconciliations, schedules, and task tracking using FloQast .

• Compliance Exposure: Opportunity to cross-train and assist as a secondary backup on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring and basic compliance tracking tasks.

• Process Maintenance: Maintain internal controls around daily data uploads, reporting accuracy, and record-keeping.
