Location: Nags Head, NC-a scenic Outer Banks beach town known for its wide sandy shores, iconic sand dunes at Jockey's Ridge State Park, and relaxed coastal atmosphere popular with vacationers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Hospital seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum coverage for their Emergency Department team. This coastal North Carolina facility serves a high-volume patient population and offers a collaborative hospital environment.

Position Overview

Inpatient Emergency Department coverage
No call required
Average ED volume: 100 patients per day ( 1.8 patients per hour)
Average inpatient census: 20
ICU/Critical Care duties required
Must respond to codes
After-hours admissions managed by Hospitalist team
Procedures: Standard Emergency Medicine procedures

New physicians must arrive the day prior to their first scheduled shift for orientation.

Required Qualifications

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
Active North Carolina medical license
Active DEA
