Compensation and Schedule for the HR Benefits Specialist

HR Benefits Specialist – Full-time, hybrid after training, $23-$25 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Join a friendly team atmosphere with great growth opportunities!

Required Qualifications of the HR Benefits Specialist

• 1+ years of recent HR benefits experience required

• Recent HR systems experience preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities of the HR Benefits Specialist

• Answer employee phone calls and emails regarding benefits and open enrollment

• Follow up on COBRA-related questions

• Assist employees with transition from the current benefits process to the new electronic system

• Support the transition of benefits information to the new Workday system

• Manually enter employee benefits information into Workday

• Assist with ACA/1095 reporting

• Run reports and review benefit codes for new hires, employees going on leave, and employees who have changed their benefit status

• Perform benefits-related data cleanup and ensure information is accurate

• Process PTO requests and PTO donations

• Process rehires

• Respond to employee benefits questions by phone and email

• Approve benefits elections for new hires
