Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for Lathe machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining processes.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance and part accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CNC programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve programming and machining issues.
• Document and maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, and tooling lists.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in G-code and M-code programming for 2-axis CNC lathes.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM).
• Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, and insert selection for various materials.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC lathe programming in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software beyond basic part modeling (e.g., SolidWorks CAM, Mastercam).
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with other CNC machining processes (e.g., milling, EDM).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• CMM operation experience for part inspection and verification.
