Accounting Supervisor Job Summary:


• Pay: Salaried


• Shifts Available:1st shift M-F

• Supervise and mentor accounting team members, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Oversee daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll support.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, labor costs, and overhead allocations.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Support external audits, tax preparation, and reporting requirements.
• Partner with production, operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to improve financial performance.
• Investigate variances and provide recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial data for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience , preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing financial processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
