Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation facility in Irvine, where you will collaborate closely with two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. Our dynamic work environment emphasizes teamwork, open communication, and a patient-first approach. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while fulfilling your professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's specific physical therapy needs, setting personalized goals and treatment plans.
• Deliver hands-on physical therapy interventions during one-on-one patient sessions, managing a caseload of one patient per hour to maintain quality care.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques to facilitate rehabilitation and improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate various modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, evaluating treatment outcomes regularly and adjusting interventions based on real-time feedback and evidence.
• Educate patients on wellness, including preventative measures, lifestyle modifications, and the importance of physical activity in maintaining optimal health.
• Document all patient interactions, care plans, and progress in our electronic medical records system to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide well-rounded treatment, discussing patient care strategies during team meetings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including post-surgical patients and those recovering from sports injuries. Our diverse patient population ranges in age and physical ability, allowing you to apply a broad spectrum of therapeutic practices. We emphasize helping our patients achieve functional independence and reengagement in their daily activities through effective treatment strategies tailored to their unique situations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Avalid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California is essential.
• A clean professional record, free from any board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong competence in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly valued.
• A proven track record of developing and implementing individualized treatment plans successfully.
• Knowledge of the latest evidence-based practices and rehabilitation techniques relating to orthopedic care.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
