Bookkeeper / Office Manager
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Compensation: $25–$30 per hour based on experience and education
About the Role
A well-established, privately owned manufacturer with a 75-plus year track record is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a small, collaborative office team. This is a 100% in-office, full-time permanent role with a consistent schedule, minimal overtime, and a casual, comfortable work environment. The company values long-term relationships and is looking for someone who wants to settle in, learn the operation, and stay.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll through ADP, including organizing hours, submitting to ADP, and handling internal journal entries from ADP reports
• Manage bill payment and accounts payable functions
• Process customer orders for production, including splitting orders into office, production, and shipping copies
• Maintain accurate records and support day-to-day office accounting functions
• Work in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping (training provided if needed)

• BS/BA degree preferred or an equivalent amount of bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience is required
• Familiarity with ADP payroll processing is a plus; willingness to learn is required
• QuickBooks experience preferred; training available for the right candidate
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up consistently
• Comfortable in a small office environment where everyone contributes
• Long-term minded. The previous bookkeeper was with the company for 18 years and that kind of tenure is what this company values

• $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on education and experience
