Role Description The Optical Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role located in Brookline, MA, responsible for overseeing daily operations within the optical center. This role includes supervising optical staff, coordinating scheduling, and supporting team development to ensure consistent, high-quality patient and customer service. The Optical Supervisor helps manage inventory, merchandising, and eyewear quality control, while maintaining adherence to company policies, clinical standards, and safety practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting patients with eyewear selection, troubleshooting optical issues, and collaborating with optometrists and other team members to deliver a streamlined and positive care experience. The role also involves monitoring key performance indicators, implementing process improvements, and fostering an inclusive, engaged work environment aligned with Visionworks' values. Qualifications Experience in optical or eye care settings, including knowledge of lenses, frames, and optical products. Supervisory or team lead experience in retail, healthcare, or customer service environments. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support diverse patients and team members. Ability to manage scheduling, prioritize tasks, and maintain efficient store and optical operations. Comfort with basic technology, point-of-sale systems, and electronic record-keeping. Attention to detail in product fit, quality, and compliance with clinical and safety standards. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and willingness to drive continuous improvement in processes and service.
