Make an impact as an ASL Paraprofessional supporting students in a diverse and dynamic school environment. You’ll work on-site, helping to facilitate communication and ensure inclusion for learners with hearing loss. With the assignment near San Antonio, TX, you’ll primarily be based at one campus—with the possibility of working between two sites located just minutes apart. This contract opportunity extends through the end of the school year, allowing you to build strong connections while playing a vital role in each student’s classroom success.

Desired qualifications:

• Completion of an associate’s degree or higher OR at least 48 college semester hours recognized by the Texas Education Agency (or regional equivalent) plus successful completion of a paraeducator course with a score of 70% or above.
• Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings, specifically supporting children with hearing loss.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to provide American Sign Language (ASL) support in classroom and small-group settings.
• Successful completion of required fingerprinting and background check prior to start.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers and staff in delivering educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Support communication access through ASL, voice, and other relevant technologies as needed.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and the student support team to individualize strategies and maximize learning engagement.
• Monitor student progress and provide encouragement to foster independence.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

This position offers consistent hours (37.5 per week) in an inclusive and supportive school culture. Positions are available for prompt start with a contract period running through May 2027.
