We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join an engineering-focused organization in Irvine, California on a contract basis with the potential to become permanent. This permanent role combines customer-facing sales support with technical product knowledge, making it ideal for someone who can translate complex manufacturing information into clear solutions for clients. The position works on a hybrid schedule, with remote work on Monday and Friday and onsite collaboration Tuesday through Thursday.
Responsibilities:
• Explain product capabilities, configurations, and technical details to customers in a clear and accurate manner.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to align customer needs with manufacturing feasibility and delivery expectations.
• Prepare customer quotations, enter orders, and manage warranty-related requests with a high degree of accuracy.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of customer communications, pipeline activity, and sales progress within company systems.
• Support ongoing inquiries related to legacy products and help customers identify appropriate solutions.
• Track and follow up on quoted opportunities to move leads through the sales process and increase conversion rates.
• Respond promptly to customer questions, providing dependable service throughout the sales cycle.
• At least 4 years of inside sales experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering-related environment.• Working knowledge of manufacturing methods and the ability to discuss product applications with confidence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using business systems such as CRM or ERP platforms.
• Ability to manage quotes, order processing, and customer follow-up activities efficiently.
• Comfortable handling multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in documentation and sales support tasks.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings is preferred.
