• Position: General/Vascular Sonographer
• Location: Kansas City, Kansas
• Employment: Permanent | Full - time
• Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Pay: $35–$40/hour (Based on experience) + Benefits
• Company Vehicle: Provided

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced General/Vascular Sonographer to provide mobile ultrasound services throughout the Kansas City, KS area.

This position involves traveling to nursing homes, home-care facilities, prisons, processing sites, and other healthcare facilities to perform physician-ordered ultrasound examinations using portable equipment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a mobile environment.

-> Key Responsibilities

• Perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations using portable ultrasound equipment.
• Travel to assigned facilities using a company-provided vehicle.
• Verify physician orders and patient information before performing examinations.
• Obtain high-quality, technically competent diagnostic images.
• Process and electronically transmit studies to radiologists for interpretation.
• Manage assigned cases through the company's dispatch system.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare facilities, patients, and clinical staff.
• Respond promptly to urgent communications.
• Complete required examination documentation and billing paperwork.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and company vehicle.
• Follow all patient safety, infection-control, HIPAA, and company policies.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Train other technologists as needed.
• Work independently with minimal direct supervision.

-> Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• General and Vascular ultrasound experience required.
• ARDMS or CCI registration for Vascular Ultrasound required.
• Limited licenses are not accepted.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Current professional credentials and registries must be maintained.
• Ability to successfully complete background check and drug screening.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile caseload.

-> Physical Requirements

• Ability to transport portable ultrasound equipment.
• Equipment bag weighs approximately 18–20 lbs.
• Ability to move equipment using a wheeled cart for distances of up to approximately 250 feet.
• Facility staff are responsible for patient transfers, positioning, and assistance.

-> Schedule & Additional Requirements

• Day shift: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Weekend coverage may be required based on caseload and may qualify as overtime.
• On-call responsibilities are required and will be discussed during the interview.
• Possible relocation assistance available.
• State licensure reimbursement available after 90 days of employment.
