Job Description

Position Overview\n

Empower Path Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide essential mental health support through remote services in a school setting. This full-time position offers you the opportunity to impact the lives of students experiencing mood disorders while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

About the Organization\n

Empower Path Counseling, LLC is a respected provider of mental health services based in Ellensburg, Washington. Our mission is to empower individuals to achieve emotional wellness and personal growth through high-quality counseling services. We cater to a diverse clientele, with a strong focus on delivering tailored mental health support in schools. By employing evidence-based practices and fostering a supportive environment, we aim to enhance the overall well-being of our clients.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting while maintaining strong connections with school staff and students. You will utilize telehealth platforms that ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, providing a confidential and safe space for therapy sessions. Our collaborative approach includes regular cooperation with educators and other health professionals to facilitate holistic care for students.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in students, using standardized tools and personalized interview techniques.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with students to develop individualized treatment plans that are goal-oriented and tailored to their unique circumstances, ensuring alignment with school-related expectations.
  • \n
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), in a remote setting to facilitate effective healing.
  • \n
  • Provide ongoing education and support to both clients and their families, empowering them with knowledge about mood disorders, coping strategies, and available resources.
  • \n
  • Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of therapy sessions to track outcomes and promote accountability.
  • \n
  • Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care approaches tailored to the specific needs of students.
  • \n
  • Stay informed on current research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continually refine treatment strategies and interventions.
  • \n
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client cases and share insights, thereby contributing to the team's collective knowledge and effectiveness.
  • \n
  • Advocate for mental health awareness within the school community, helping to destigmatize mental health issues and fostering an environment where students feel safe to seek help.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on supporting students experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will engage primarily with adolescents, working to empower them through their mental health challenges in a supportive school environment. As part of our school-based approach, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers and school administration to create a comprehensive support system around the students.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
  • \n
  • A minimum of three years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders and working with children or adolescents.
  • \n
  • Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities from CBT to DBT that address mood disorders.
  • \n
  • Strong collaborative skills; ability to work effectively with psychiatrists, educators, and parents to foster a supportive network for students.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to relate to clients and their families from diverse backgrounds.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • Experience in a school or educational setting, particularly in teletherapy services, is highly desirable.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and related technologies to deliver remote therapy.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with psychopharmacology and the interplay between therapy and medication management is advantageous.
  • \n
Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

\n
    \n
  • Healthcare benefits covering medical, dental, and vision for you and your family.
  • \n
  • Flexible work schedules to promote work-life balance.
  • \n
  • Professional development opportunities to support continued education and training.
  • \n
  • Supportive supervision and peer consultation to help you grow in your clinical expertise.
  • \n
  • Paid time off and holidays to ensure personal well-being.
  • \n
