Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to machine parts for the aerospace, defense, and space industries. The role may also include cross-training in deburring, cleaning, and assisting in other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Machine parts for aerospace, defense, and space industries.
• Cross-train in deburring and cleaning tasks.
• Assist in various other duties as required.

Essential Skills

• Experience with CNC machining and CNC programming.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances of 5/10th.
• Knowledge of Fanuc control systems.
• Understanding of G & M codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with machines such as Matsuras, Mori Seikis, Toyota, and EDM machines.
• Familiarity with 5-axis machining and machine setup.
• Experience with Mastercam and SPREE software.
• Motivated and eager to learn.
• Mechanically inclined and driven to help out.

Work Environment

The company operates two shifts: first shift from 7:00am to 5:30pm (temporary workers typically finish by 3:30pm/4pm) and second shift from 4:30pm to 3:00am. The work environment is high in communication and although the back shop lacks air conditioning, it is equipped with fans. The company is family-owned and fosters a long-term tenure among employees.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
