• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 95 Patients Per Day

• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 35,000 Visits

• Admissions: 17% Admission Rate

• Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine

• Average Physician Productivity: 1.6 Patients Per Hour

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of ED Beds: 14 Treatment Rooms

• Trauma Bay: 1 Dedicated Trauma Bay

• Additional Treatment Areas: 12 Vertical Care Areas and 6 Hallway Beds

• EMR System: Meditech Expanse

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Standard Emergency Medicine Procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Texas License or Active IMLC Eligibility

• Board: Board Certified Emergency Medicine Required

• Experience: Emergency Department Experience Required

• Other Qualifications:

• Texas Candidates Preferred for Locum Coverage

• Locums-to-Perm and Permanent Interest Highly Desired

• APP Candidates Must Have Emergency Medicine Experience

• Emergency Medicine Fellowship Preferred for APPs

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Emergency Department physician coverage

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency patients

• Manage acute and critical presentations

• Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams

• Document patient encounters in Meditech Expanse

• Deliver evidence-based emergency care
