If you're passionate about tequila and mezcal, and have a talent for crafting exceptional cocktails and sharing the rich stories behind every spirit, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Develop and maintain a captivating selection of tequilas and mezcals, ensuring a diverse and premium offering that will set EL Bar apart. Craft and refine innovative cocktail recipes that showcase the essence of our bar's offerings and the spirit of Pier 57. Keep our selection fresh and exciting by staying updated on industry trends and new product releases. Ensuring all inventory/ordering is done efficiently and submitted on time Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and beverage, handle transactions, and support guest service needs from beginning to end Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons within standards of City Winery Upsell, increase check average, compete in sales incentives, drive marketing promotions & special events, and promote the City Winery brand Handle payment transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer Adhere to and abide by cash handling procedures as per Company standards Serve wine, beer and liquor in proper proportions and glassware and charging proper prices for beverages Ad hoc duties as assigned
A deep knowledge of tequila and mezcal, including production processes, regions, and flavor profiles. Previous experience as a sommelier, spirits expert, or in a similar role. Strong presentation and public speaking abilities, with a flair for storytelling. A genuine passion for educating others and sharing the cultural significance of tequila and mezcal. Certification in spirits or sommelier qualifications is a plus.
