Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinating care with other disciplines. The RN will utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent discretion to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients or groups of patients.
• Supervise and support nursing staff and assess their performance.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize the nursing process to evaluate the needs and goals of patients.
• Implement established standards and best practices in nursing care.

Requirements

• Night shift availability - 36 or 48 hours per week.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Willingness to work on holidays, with the option for one holiday off.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
• CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor is required.
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification is required.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification is required.
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification is required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification is required.
