Red Cap is looking for an experienced Director of Operations to join our leadership team and help take a rapidly growing residential home-services business to the next level.

This is a key leadership position with broad responsibility across our HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical operations . The VP of Operations will be responsible for translating company strategy into execution, building a high-performing leadership team, and ensuring the business operates with the discipline and infrastructure needed to scale.

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

• Lead overall operational performance across multiple trades and departments.
• Oversee P&L performance, maximizing revenue, profitability, and long-term business growth.
• Establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability throughout the organization.
• Lead, coach, and develop department and operations managers.
• Improve productivity, margins, capacity planning, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with the executive team on growth strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Build processes and systems that allow the company to scale without sacrificing quality or customer experience.
• Identify opportunities and challenges early and take decisive action to improve business performance.
• Develop a strong leadership bench and create a culture of ownership and high performance.

Qualifications

Do I Have What It Takes?

• Proven experience managing a highly profitable home-services business
• Strong P&L and financial management experience.
• Significant experience leading managers and developing high-performing leadership teams.
• Deep industry knowledge across residential HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Electrical.
• A track record of growing businesses while improving profitability and operational discipline.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to get into the business when needed.
