Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Float Pool position requiring Epic EMR experience and 2 years of recent specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Med-Surg Float Pool unit within an academic medical center
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating required within the facility
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience required for consideration
• 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency test score, or 2 years of experience with no testing required
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission for candidates with less than 2 years of experience
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical exemption signed by a licensed professional required for flu vaccine exemption; personal or religious declinations not accepted

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates residing within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
• More than 3 call-outs within the 13-week contract period may result in contract termination
• Make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of any call-out
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
