Assembler - Manufacturing

Description

Spares Assembler builds sub-assemblies needed for aircraft interiors spares production. Assigned tasks will be performed within prescribed cycle/budget time while maintaining the Company's standards of quality. Employees will function as a key member of the team on the production line, sometimes with limited supervision.


What you will be responsible for:

• • Positions, installs, and assembles parts and subassemblies by reading/following work instructions and using templates (as required) on all seat product lines.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• • Access computer systems, pull and follow assembly instructions, drawings, parts lists, wire lists and diagrams.
• • Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
• • Complete all required paperwork and parts documentation.
• • Utilizes small hand tools such as crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, torque wrenches, cutters of various types, and other standard wiring and assembly tools.
• • Comply with safety and company policies and use protective equipment as required.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful in this role.

• • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • One (1) year work experience in a complex assembly environment preferred.
• • Must have the ability to read and comprehend blueprints, work instructions, and other technical data.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills with a strong desire to work in a teamwork environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language .
