• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: D/N rotating shift - 7:00 PM-7:30 AM / 7:00 AM-7:30 PM (3x12s only). Shifts may be variable; if needed to meet the operational needs of the hospital, every effort will be made to honor preferred shift, but the facility reserves the right to rotate if necessary.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This assignment is located at the Main Campus Hospital on the HVTI-Stepdown unit , with the potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population. This is an AUTO OFFER position for 3x12 schedules only.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide step-down/PCU-level nursing care on the HVTI-Stepdown unit at the Main Campus Hospital.
• Float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED as needed to care for the same patient population.
• Work at least every other holiday per facility requirements.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; an acceptable score on both is required.

Required Skills

• ECG rhythm recognition proficiency (assessment required during orientation)
• safeMedicate proficiency (assessment required during orientation)

Preferred Skills

• PCU/Progressive Care experience (preferred but not required)

Education Requirements

• Ohio RN License (permanent) OR Compact State License - must be in hand at time of submission
• AHA or facility-accepted BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for (preferable within one location, but may be combined across locations)
• Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience - travel experience will suffice

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12s); shift assignment may vary based on operational needs of the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination required - medical/religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccination required - medical/religious exemptions only
• Must work at least every other holiday

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required for successful placement.
