Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of stepdown experience and an Ohio or compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Work in the Heart & Vascular Thoracic Intensive (HVTI) Step Down unit of a large hospital campus
• Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33, and ED) caring for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts: days 7:00am–7:30pm and nights 7:00pm–7:30am
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts; shift rotation may be required to meet operational needs
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty (stepdown); may be from multiple locations
• Minimum 18 months of recent stepdown experience required; travel experience is acceptable
• PCU/progressive care experience preferred but not required
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; acceptable scores on both are required to continue the assignment
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location; a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
