The Real Deal is seeking a highly skilled Video Producer / Shooter / Editor to join Brand Studio and help create premium branded video content for digital, social and custom content campaigns.

This is a hands-on production and post-production role for someone with strong technical filmmaking skills and a sophisticated eye for editing. Working alongside the Director of Brand Studio, this person will help translate creative concepts into polished, visually compelling video—from production through final delivery.

The Director of Brand Studio will typically serve as the creative lead and director on set. The Video Producer / Shooter / Editor will be a key creative partner responsible for executing that vision through cinematography, production expertise and especially post-production.

We're looking for someone who understands that great post-production goes beyond assembling footage: performance, pacing, sound, music, B-roll, graphics and visual rhythm all work together to elevate the final story.

Responsibilities

Production

• Serve as a lead camera operator and technical production partner on Brand Studio shoots.
• Collaborate with the Director of Brand Studio on shot planning, visual approach and production execution.
• Translate creative direction into thoughtful cinematography and visual coverage.
• Capture interviews, properties, architecture, lifestyle, events and documentary-style footage.
• Build and operate professional camera, lighting and audio packages.
• Make informed technical decisions around camera settings, lenses, lighting, audio and production workflow.
• Anticipate coverage needs and capture the B-roll, establishing shots, details and transitions necessary to build a polished edit.
• Troubleshoot technical and production challenges efficiently on location.
• Help coordinate equipment, crew and production logistics when necessary.
• Maintain a high technical standard across productions ranging from efficient small-crew shoots to premium productions.

Post-Production

• Edit premium branded videos from raw footage through final delivery.
• Work from creative direction, interview material, briefs and production notes to develop strong first cuts.
• Shape interviews and footage into clear, engaging edits with strong pacing and visual structure.
• Make thoughtful editorial choices around selects, B-roll, music, sound design, graphics and transitions.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Brand Studio throughout the edit while bringing independent editorial judgment and solutions to the process.
• Understand both the narrative and visual intent of a project and translate that direction into the edit.
• Create multiple deliverables from a single production, including approximately 2–5 minute hero videos, 60–90 second edits and short-form social cutdowns.
• Reframe and adapt content thoughtfully for 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and other platform-specific formats.
• Handle color correction, audio cleanup, music editing, graphics integration and finishing.
• Collaborate with motion designers or other post-production specialists when projects require advanced graphics or animation.
• Incorporate internal and client feedback efficiently while maintaining creative and technical consistency.
• Prepare final masters and platform-specific deliverables.

Workflow & Media Management

• Maintain organized Premiere projects, footage and post-production files.
• Follow established media-management, backup and archival workflows.
• Prepare projects so another editor can easily open, understand and continue the work.
• Help establish efficient production and post-production workflows as Brand Studio's video capabilities grow.
• Maintain consistent technical and creative standards across the studio's video output.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional video production and editing experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both cinematography and substantive editing work.
• Strong command of editing fundamentals including pacing, interview editing, music, sound, B-roll selection and visual storytelling.
• Professional experience with cinema and mirrorless camera systems such as Sony FX-series, Canon Cinema EOS, Blackmagic or comparable systems.
• Strong knowledge of lenses, lighting, composition, exposure and professional audio.
• Experience working with Log footage and professional post-production workflows.
• Understanding of codecs, proxies, media management, color workflows and delivery specifications.
• Experience delivering content across digital and social platforms.
• Ability to translate creative direction into technically and creatively polished work.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with a director/creative lead throughout production and post.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience producing branded content for a publisher, agency, studio or media company.
• Experience with real estate, architecture, design, luxury or business storytelling.
• After Effects and motion graphics experience.
• DaVinci Resolve experience.
• Multicamera production experience.
• Photography experience.
• Drone experience and FAA Part 107 certification.
• Experience managing professional production equipment and media storage systems.

The Video Producer / Shooter / Editor is a trusted production and post-production partner to the Director of Brand Studio.

On set, they bring the technical expertise necessary to execute the project's creative direction at a high visual standard. They understand what coverage an editor will need and make thoughtful decisions about cinematography, lighting, sound and supporting footage.

In post, they bring both craft and judgment to the material. They can take the project's creative direction and raw footage and translate it into a strong first cut, then collaborate with the Director to refine the story, pacing and visual approach through final delivery.

Success in this role means consistently producing work that is technically excellent, editorially considered and appropriate for TBS's audience and client objectives.

$75,000 - $90,000 a year
