Cannabis Processing Technician

Viridian Staffing's client is looking for temporary cannabis processing technicians to assist at a licensed cannabis facility in the Greenfield, Massachusetts, area. As a cannabis processing technician, you will assist with general cannabis production, processing, and post-harvest responsibilities. You may be responsible for handling plant material, operating or working alongside basic processing equipment, sorting materials, preparing materials for the next stage of production, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You should have a strong work ethic, be dependable and punctual, and be comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a production environment. You should be able to follow instructions, work efficiently as part of a team, and comply with all company procedures, safety requirements, and state regulations.

The essential functions of this position include:

• Standing for up to 8 hours during a workday
• Working around and handling cannabis plant material for up to 8 hours during a workday
• Frequently lifting, carrying, moving, and positioning materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Performing repetitive hand, arm, bending, reaching, and standing movements
• Handling and processing plant material according to facility procedures
• Working around basic production and processing equipment
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Performing other general processing and post-harvest duties as assigned

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Previous experience in cannabis, agriculture, cultivation, production, manufacturing, warehousing, or a similar environment is preferred but is not required. You must be at least 21 years of age. You must also be eligible to work at a licensed cannabis facility in Massachusetts and successfully complete any required registration and badging requirements. This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 2–4 weeks, with the possibility of additional work based on business needs and individual performance. Pay rate: $18.00 per hour.
