Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Our client, a well-established AmLaw 150 law firm, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its Phoenix office and support a busy commercial litigation practice across contract, business tort, real estate, and corporate governance matters. Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and post-trial proceedings
\n
• Collect, organize, review, and manage documents and case materials in connection with discovery and case strategy
\n
• Prepare documents for production, including coordinating privilege review and Bates-stamping
\n
• Assist with all phases of discovery, including document production and electronically stored information (ESI)
\n
• Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other court filings in Arizona state and federal courts
\n
• Manage case calendars, court deadlines, and docketing requirements
\n
• Prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
\n
• Organize exhibits, deposition materials, demonstratives, witness materials, and trial binders
\n
• Coordinate with court reporters, e-discovery providers, copy services, and other outside vendors as needed
\n
• Support trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit management, and courtroom technology
\n

Education and Certifications:

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
\n

\n

\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience ; commercial litigation experience preferred
\n
• Experience supporting matters in both state and federal courts
\n
• Strong familiarity with Arizona Superior Court procedures and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, including Local Rules and CM/ECF filing
\n
• Experience with discovery, document production, and electronically stored information (ESI)
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Westlaw, and litigation technology
\n
• Experience with e-discovery and trial applications such as DISCO, Everlaw, TrialDirector, and CaseMap preferred
\n
• Comfort learning and working with emerging technology and AI applications
\n
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members
\n
