Operations Manager / Market Leader – Home Care

Location: Polk County, Florida (Lakeland & Winter Haven)

Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 Base Salary + Bonus Opportunity of Up to 15%

Our client, one of the nation's most respected home care organizations, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager / Market Leader to oversee and grow its Polk County territory.

This is not a traditional operations management role.

What Makes This Role Unique

Lead an Entire Market

This position carries full operational responsibility for the Polk County business, including revenue growth, profitability, client satisfaction, employee engagement, and overall operational success.

Full P&L Responsibility

The Operations Manager has complete profit-and-loss responsibility for the business unit, overseeing revenue growth, expense management, staffing performance, and financial results while driving accountability through KPIs and operational scorecards.

Highly Visible Community Leadership

Approximately 80% of your time is spent leading operations in the office , while 20% is spent in the field building relationships with referral partners, clients, caregivers, and community organizations.

Develop Future Leaders

One of the most rewarding aspects of this position is identifying, coaching, mentoring, and developing emerging leaders within your team.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop office staff and caregivers
• Create a culture of accountability, ownership, professionalism, and exceptional service
• Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance
• Play a key role in all hiring decisions for the leadership team
• Identify and develop future leaders within the organization
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management

The Operations Manager directly oversees:

• Staffing Manager
• RN Trainer
• Scheduling Coordinator
• Care Advisors (Case Managers)
• Business Development Managers

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations and client service delivery
• Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and operational efficiency
• Monitor service quality and client satisfaction
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives
• Utilize KPI scorecards to measure performance, drive accountability, and achieve operational goals
• Ensure exceptional service delivery across all departments

Business Development & Community Relations

• Develop and strengthen referral partnerships throughout the community
• Build relationships with:
• Hospitals
• Rehabilitation Facilities
• Physicians
• Senior Living Communities
• Case Managers
• Elder Law Attorneys
• Community Organizations
• Represent the organization at networking events, industry meetings, and community functions
• Identify growth opportunities that increase market share and revenue

Client & Caregiver Experience

• Build strong relationships with clients, families, and caregivers
• Conduct regular field visits alongside team members
• Ensure exceptional client outcomes and service quality
• Resolve escalated client concerns promptly and professionally
• Improve employee engagement and caregiver satisfaction
• Maintain a strong presence throughout the community and marketplace

Financial Performance

• Manage the business unit's profit and loss performance
• Monitor revenue growth, staffing efficiency, expenses, and profitability
• Analyze operational KPIs and financial performance
• Collaborate with leadership to achieve strategic growth goals
• Drive accountability through scorecards and measurable performance indicators
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support organizational success.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 10 years of combined verifiable professional experience
• Preferred minimum of 3 years with each employer , demonstrating stability and leadership growth
• Minimum 5 years of leadership and management experience
• Proven operational management experience
• Experience hiring, coaching, developing, and leading high-performing teams
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to lead through growth, change, and continuous improvement
• Experience utilizing KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics to drive accountability
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Sales and service leadership experience is highly valued.
