Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 50 firm seeking a Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation Associate to join its San Francisco office . This is a unique opportunity to work with a premier team handling high-stakes trust, estate, and fiduciary litigation for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional fiduciaries.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will bring experience and passion for handling disputes involving trusts, estates, conservatorships, and fiduciary duties. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to complex litigation involving generational wealth, contested estate plans, fiduciary misconduct claims, and elder abuse matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of trust and estate litigation, from pre-suit investigations to trial

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery

• Conduct depositions and support trial teams in contested hearings and bench trials

• Manage factual development, expert analysis, and case strategy

• Advise clients on complex probate, fiduciary, and inheritance issues

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of litigation experience , ideally with exposure to trusts and estates, fiduciary disputes , or complex civil litigation

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to handle sophisticated litigation independently and as part of a team

• Strong interpersonal and client service skills

• Admission to the California Bar

• Strong academic background

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $235,000 – $310,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
