Registered Nurse - PCU/Tele

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, working 3 nights per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a PCU/Tele unit that consists of two floors with a total of 42 beds. The unit focuses on tele-acuity patients, and may transition some patients to a stepdown unit in the future.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions using Telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as per protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal patient care.
• Document nursing assessments and interventions in the EPIC charting system.
• Orient and precept new team members if assigned to charge roles.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid for practice.
• Experience in a PCU or telemetry setting preferred but first-time travelers are welcome.
