About the Team The Practice Coordinator works daily with the Sound Physician’s team onsite at the hospital partner. The team includes a Practice Medical Director, clinicians, and a Clinical Performance Nurse. About the Role The Practice Coordinator is responsible for daily oversight of administrative duties for the Sound site practice. The role involves visible presence and collaboration with the entire practice team and multiple hospital departments, contributing to workflow improvements, communication, and operational, financial, and clinical performance. The position is part‑time or full‑time and resides onsite at the practice. No travel is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Practice Operations and Support General administrative support under the direction of the Medical Director and Practice Administrator Office management functions, including meeting management, office systems, supplies, and practice events Develop and maintain site practice policies and procedures with the Medical Director and Practice Management Team Facilitate daily patient census/reconciliation and multidisciplinary rounds as applicable Support patient care by facilitating home health order workflows, responding to medical record requests, coordinating PCP follow‑up appointments, and completing death certificates Manage recruiting, including onsite interviews, positive candidate experience, and coordination with hospital leadership Oversee onboarding and orientation for new clinicians, locums, and ambassadors Maintain practice orientation checklists and policies Ensure licensed providers complete recredentialing, state license monitoring, hospital privileging, and payer enrollment in a timely manner Maintain relationships with the hospital Medical Staff Office and resolve onboarding barriers Ensure billing and documentation compliance for the practice Ensure clinicians complete mandatory compliance training and respond to queries Participate in all medical group training relevant to the role Support clinicians in annual benefits open enrollment and life‑event changes in the HR Information System Provide general support for all Sound software applications Establish and maintain group norms and visual management boards for team communications and recognition Encourage practice participation in Sound bedside and colleague engagement surveys Staffing Operations Create and optimize clinical schedules, ensuring accurate documentation for payroll and sustaining patient care without disruption at least 120 days in advance Review and validate shift and productivity data for monthly payroll processing Client Retention Serve as general administrative liaison to hospital executives and staff regarding hospital needs Coordinate monthly and quarterly meetings and events with hospital partner leadership, including scheduling, agendas, room/material facilitation, and minutes Refresh client‑facing materials to align with Sound standards Maintain required reports and trackers Ensure PCP database accuracy and distribution of PCP lists Values Collaboration : Demonstrates ability to work well with others and includes others in decision‑making Customer focus : Puts internal and external customers first Eagerness to Learn : Seeks information, embraces new learning, and enjoys the process Likes people : Genuinely enjoys engaging and helping others Self‑starter : Initiates tasks or projects with limited direction Resourcefulness : Utilizes available information and tools to solve problems Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations Knowledge of HR information systems and basic HR concepts Education and Experience 1–2 years of administrative support experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment 1–2 years in customer service Pay Range $24.00–$35.00 hourly.
