Title: Safety Technician

Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)
Hire Type: Temp-to-Hire (3+ months)

Overview:

Do you have the technical expertise and problem-solving skills necessary to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards? If so, we want you to join our team as a Safety Technician! The Safety Technician supports Global Power Components’ commitment to providing a safe, compliant, and high‑performing manufacturing environment. This role enhances safety processes across GPC’s large‑scale fabrication and assembly operations. The Safety Technician helps ensure regulatory compliance, reduces workplace risk, and reinforces GPC’s culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections to identify and assess potential hazards.
• Implement safety plans and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Assist with training sessions for employees on workplace safety procedures and protocols.
• Assist with Investigation of workplace accidents to determine the cause and make recommendations for future prevention.
• Assist with maintaining records of workplace safety incidents and track progress on implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Promote safe work behaviors on the production floor and reinforce a strong safety culture.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Completion of OSHA 30‑Hour training (or willing to obtain).
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced or high‑pressure environments.
• Willingness and ability to work across shifts, including weekends as required.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver consistent and effective safety messaging across all levels of the organization.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
