The role covers the full investment lifecycle — origination, underwriting, structuring, documentation, closing and portfolio management — with direct exposure to Ares U.S. Direct Lending's investment committee, senior leadership, management teams, advisors, investors and clients.**Key Responsibilities**- Perform detailed fundamental credit analysis underpinning new debt and/or equity investment decisions- Screen new opportunities and assess business quality, industry dynamics, credit risks and transaction structure- Build complex Excel models covering cash flow, debt sizing, capital structure, downside scenarios and investment returns- Prepare and present investment committee memoranda- Monitor investment performance, maintain valuations, and track company/industry developments- Negotiate and review legal documentation, and lead investment closings- Manage a substantial portfolio of investments and mentor junior investment professionals**Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent- 4-5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity or Credit- Experience in Leveraged Finance or Private Credit preferred- Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills- Strong investment judgment, integrity and ability to manage complex workstreams independently**Compensation**The anticipated base salary range is **$170,000 - $200,000**, plus a discretionary performance-based bonus.
