This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys both hands-on accounting and building structure within evolving processes. The Senior Accountant will support accurate and timely financial reporting, review transactional activity prepared by staff accountants, coordinate sales tax compliance processes, assist with revenue stream management, and help strengthen documentation and internal controls. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial statements while helping build scalable accounting infrastructure as the company continues to grow.Month-End Close & Financial ReportingDrive and support month-end close procedures, including preparation and review of journal entriesCoordinate close activities with accounting staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasksPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedulesAnalyze fluctuations and variances to ensure accuracy and completenessEnsure transactions are properly recorded in NetSuite in accordance with GAAPSupport preparation of financial reporting packages and management analysisRevenue & Subscription AccountingMaintain revenue recognition schedules across multiple product and service lines in accordance with ASC 606Reconcile billing system data to NetSuite and investigate discrepanciesAssist in reviewing customer contracts for accounting implicationsSupport documentation of revenue recognition policies and proceduresSales Tax & Compliance CoordinationCoordinate sales tax filings and compliance processes with third-party tax software providersReview sales tax reports and ensure completeness and accuracy of dataSupport multi-state compliance requirements and related documentationAssist with audit support and other regulatory filings as neededAudit, Controls & DocumentationPrepare audit-ready schedules and serve as primary support contact for assigned audit areasManage PBC requests and coordinate responses with internal team membersDraft and maintain accounting memos for significant accounting positionsDevelop and formalize accounting policies and standard operating proceduresCreate and maintain close documentation and supporting workpaper standardsStrengthen internal control processes as the company scalesContract & Document ManagementEstablish and maintain a centralized repository for vendor contracts and key accounting documentsEnsure contracts are organized, accessible, and aligned with accounting recordsAssist in reviewing vendor agreements for accounting implicationsImprove documentation retention practices to support audit readinessProcess Improvement & Cross-Functional SupportIdentify opportunities to improve close processes, documentation, and scalabilityAssist in refining procedures to enhance efficiency and automationPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, FP&A, and other teams to resolve accounting-related questionsSupport special projects and strategic initiatives as assignedQualifications3–7 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processesExperience preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliationsExperience supporting external auditsAbility to analyze financial data and identify discrepanciesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong documentation capabilitiesPosition is only available onsite in Estero, FLEven Better If You Have...CPA license or CPA candidatePublic accounting experienceExperience working in NetSuiteExperience in a SaaS or high-growth company environmentExposure to revenue recognition under ASC 606Experience drafting accounting memos or policy documentationExperience working with sales tax compliance processes
