Team Leader

Our Shift Managers are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Shift Manager’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Shift Managers lead by example and set the tone that others will follow. Shift Manager Responsibilities: Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high‑volume, fast‑paced Restaurant Offer immediate and respectful response to Guest's needs Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team Be a friendly, encouraging team player Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder Serves as subject matter expert to leadership and team for ongoing hospitality, customer service, and kitchen support Responsible for inventory and facilities management Complete understanding of each key position in both the front and back of the store Ability to manage financial responsibility - Count drawers and finalize day Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken Continuously strategizes how to improve sales and processes in the restaurant Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to, standing for up to 10 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds Follow Chick-fil-A’s operational policies and procedures Qualifications and Requirements: Reliable transportation Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Strong commitment to superior customer service Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback Self‑leader committed to personal growth Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic Positive attitude Willingness to step outside of job role to assist in other roles Customer-service oriented Effective communication skills with not only our guests but other team members as well Must be an excellent coach, communicator, and team builder Strong desire to serve others Consistent sense of urgency and works at an efficient, yet thorough pace Ability to multitask Honors and encourages others to follow the visions and values of the restaurant You will be required to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, with excellent communication skills. You must have the ability to take initiative and possess skills for problem solving and conflict resolution. You also must be efficient and detail-oriented with a strong customer focus. You must have proven ability to lead in fast‑paced environments as part of a team Has to possess basic computer competency Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.
